Gay Girl, Good God by Jackie Hill Perry

Gay Girl, Good God by Jackie Hill Perry is her testimony of God's work in her life.  Jackie eloquently expresses how Jesus came into her life and saved her from condemnation because of her sins.  She explicitly gives the gospel and points to Christ continually.  It was refreshing to hear a testimony that focused on the God who saves rather than the sinner who needed the saving.  Again and again, she points to Christ.  This book is not about all of her sins, or her "gayness".  This is a book about God and the work he has done in her life.

If you are looking for a testimonial that focuses on Christ and his work in someone's life, I recommend this book!  This book is also recommended for people who are unsure how to approach someone who is same-sex attracted or part of the LGBTQ+ community.  Jackie shares not only her testimony but also some practical advice for reaching out to people with the gospel rather than a moralistic call to stop being gay.
