Keepers of the Home

"Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children,  to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled."

(Titus 2:3-5, ESV)

The second chapter of the book of Titus is often quoted as a means to encourage older women to teach younger women.  What should they be teaching?  Often people focus on self-control, purity and kindness.  There is also a good deal to be said about loving your husband and children.  What about working at home and being submissive to their own husbands?  That is less popular to talk about!  The goal of this site is to provide some resources for younger women as they seek to be good keepers of their homes.  I have been in pretty much every category of woman, often feeling like I don't fit in any category.  It is my hope that you will be able to learn from my experiences.  Hopefully, I will be able to share the bad and ugly, as well as the good and beautiful.  We like to present a picture perfect image online; that is easy to do.  Not so easy...being real and honest about your weakness and failings.  If I want to share learning experiences, that means sharing failure too.  I hope this website is helpful, and I hope it is a blessing to you!  ~Lindsay
